Yes, it rained! Elk and Walnut Creeks started to rise after midnight. The flow rise on both streams has not yet peaked as of 10 AM. Gale force winds will add plenty of leaves to the debris carpet flushing toward the lake so be prepared to navigate the trash as you fish.

Fishing today will be limited. Anglers who can deal with stained trashy water will do well. The rest of us will wait for better conditions.

No more rain today so eventually the water flow will stabilize and start to drop. Depending on your preferred way to fish “water events”, you can make plans for today and/or next week.

The weather forecast calls for an interesting week ahead. You can easily read the data and plan a trip that suits your style.
